Help on posting comments from your cellphone.

At NorthwestLongboarding.com you can now make a post in any forum from anywhere that you get cellphone coverage! Need to tell someone what the weather is like, that you're going to skate a different spot, or that the cops showed up? Now you can make sure everyone knows what's going on without having to be next to a computer. Here's how.

Note: Only text messages are accepted. No multimedia messages. And you must have a user account in order to use this service. Click here to create an account if you don't have one yet.

First off, you'll need to find out what your Mobile Email Address is. If you don't know it already, you can simply send a text message from your phone to your normal email address. Now check the email to see what your Mobile Email Address is. It should look something like...

12065551234@tmomail.net

Obviously, it will be a little different depending on your cell phone provider, but you get the idea.

Now, when you're logged in, go to your 'Account Maintenance' page, located under the 'Service' icon at the top menu. In addition to your main email address, now there is a place for you to enter your Mobile Email. Enter in your Mobile Email Address here and click, 'Save Account Info'.

Now that you've done that, here's how you do the rest.

Look at the top right corner of any thread. You will see a 'Text Message Code'. This is the number you will use to send messages to a specific thread. All you need to do when sending a text message is enter that number, then a space, and then whatever you want to say.

Almost done. Now send that text message to:

Forum@northwestlongboarding.com

and your done! So put forum@northwestlongboarding.com in your phone so you can easily select it.

A couple other things...

If your making a new thread, at the bottom of the page there is an option to receive email notification if there are any replies to your thread. Now you can choose to have any replies to the thread sent to your Mobile Email as well as your Normal Email.

If you can't remember the Text Message Code of a particular thread you can always send a text message to the special code 999. Using the code 999 your message will be posted to the thread titled 'On-the-go Info'.

Again, right now this system will only accept TEXT messages. IT WILL NOT ACCEPT PICTURES.
