Part of the August Race series continues tonight on Greenwood Avenue from 6 to 9 pm tonight. THERE IS NO ENTRANCE FEE! THIS IS A FREE EVENT! Tight slalom with lots of demo boards to try out. JAm format, come out and make one run or ten is does not matter. Fastest single time wins. Points count towards the race series overall winner. Sector 9 swag is supposed to arrive any moment and there will be some free helmets given away, courtesy of the Maryhill Ratz.

The streets are closed and there is an artwalk going on so this is a good time to come out and enjoy a great summer evening.

Here are the results from last weeks 2 man downhill at the Issaquah Highlands and the current point total.

The event was sponsored by Woody at Complete Concrete (THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!) All entry fees were paid and $100 in cash was given away.

1st - Chip Wood - 11 series points - $60 cash
2nd - Downhill Danny Farmery - 10 points - $30
3rd - Brandon Montesuno - 9 points - $10
4th(t) - Torry Tores - 7.5 points
4th(t) - Dean Ozuna - 7.5 points
6th - Jesse Andersen - 6 points
7th(t) - Chris Nelson - 4.5 points
7th(t) - Jake Dunbar - 4.5 points
9th(t) - Danny Wood - 2.5 points
9th(t) - Michael Shrugrue - 2.5 points
11th - Nathan Andersen - 1 point (Once Nathan gains some weight, he is one to watch out for!)

Next saturdays events - Timed lap around Greenlake, 2 laps 8am, Raineer Avenue South at Brandon Street. 11am to 3 pm. Hopefully this will be a "longboard" slalom course, timed in a jam format. I ma not sure how much room there is but it looks like there will be room for some sliding and depending on who shows we may have a slope style contest....
