Shuglue, Gregory, Trevor, Tim and Jordan A enjoying Maryhill at its finest at the Maryhill Freeride this past weekend. I can't say enough about how well this event went off. Even with the pouring rain, 40* temps and a stiff downhill wind on Saturday people still had a blast and the course workers braved it all so we could have fun. Saturday made Sunday even more rewarding with blue skies and downhill breezes all day. It was amazing to see all the different skill levels ranging from 9 year old rippers to world champion racers. Definitely one of the best ways to gain experience by riding and learning from other skilled skaters. A huge thanks goes to the course workers, spotters, and everyone who helped to set up and tear down. Timeship Racing for running the demo's both day's so people had a chance to try out ton's of new boards, and all the companies that donated boards to make it possible. All those boards will be availible for auction shortly, so keep an eye here or at Timeship Racing's website. All of this would not have been possbile without Dean Ozuna. Deano had/has a vision for sustainging Maryhill for years to come and keep it skateable for longboarders for a long time and he is fulfilling that dream with events like this. THANKS DEANO! Can't wait for the next one! Larry Nissen Photo
